Hi everyone,

I am a total Omega-newbie and I have tried to learn as much as I can about how to tell if a watch is an authentic omega or not, so that I can buy one for my husband's birthday.

I have found this watch below, which I am on my way to muy in a couple of hours. From all I can tell it is real, but I would so much appreciate the input from others who know much more!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Emelie and welcome on board!

The 135.012 is smaller than the usual Omega dress watches from this time with 33mm

Could be a bit small for a man's wrist.

Thanks @Passover! He has quite small wrists so I think it should work, but I need so it in person before I decide. He has a vintage Zenith that is 34 mm, which looks good in his wrist, so I hope the last 1 mm doesn't change much.

Any thought on it being authentic or not?

As far as I know: If there is luminous material on the dial there should also be this material on the hands which isn't the case here

So the hands seem to have been replaced with incorrect ones

OK, incorrect hands I think I can live with, but very good to know. I hadn't looked that much at the hands to be honest - so much to take in when you're new to a subject. Had mostly focused on the dial, backside and inside (sorry if incorrect terms).

Thank you so much for your help!

I’d say these are more 32mm. Even with small wrists they wear very small.

I’d really advocate looking at the 34mm 135.011 if you like these Seamaster 600’s. They aren’t too hard to find.

The case seems to be in very good condition.

The pictures are not the best but the dial printing seems legit.

The movement looks good but the gasket seems to be missing

With 600€ I think you are on the high side for a hand wound, small Omega.

Nice, I'll have a look there as well! I live in Europe though and guess most people are from the US - do people normally accept to ship intercontinental?

Thank you for being so helpful and welcoming!

Not at all US-centric.

The forum is Aus based with members all over the world. There’s plenty of us in Europe! Just check out the private sales and look for those in € (or even those pesky £‘s).
