Terrible redial, wrong crown and, although not shown, I'd wager real money that the case back medallion is polished out of existence -- and it already has 50 bids on it. Moral: do your homework before buying, not after.

And for comparison, here is a beautiful example of the real deal from our member Teerapat:

The seller also can't seem to decide whether this is an Omega Constellation or a Universal Geneve Compax. Moral: do your homework before buying, not after.
So you are saying I should not have bid on this? Looked OK to me. ::facepalm1::

One should at least admire the desire of the (dial- ) artist to create somthing beautiful and longlasting for many people and generations to enjoy.

You know Greg, people on this forum are so judgmental. If someone finds that watch beautiful, then we shouldn’t bother them with facts and information about what it should have looked like or what it should be worth.
You would think this is some geeky forum for collectors who value originality and get mired down in details or something. Geez-a-whiz.

You’re right, James. Actually I was trying to discourage others so that I could buy it. You just can’t trust me. 😀

In all honesty, the case isn’t too bad- I’ve seen worse.

Yeah, the description says that it’s unpolished. If that’s the case, one would think that there would be a photo of the medallion.

Exactly! Too perfect to be original. Vintage watches should look tired and haggard- you know, have cred. If it doesn’t have that hung up to dry look, then it won’t give you that life well lived look while you are in your cubicle looking at pictures of Land Rovers in majestic settings while you dream of taking your mall crawler Jeep to the local trail head.
