I have a ZWO AM3 harmonic drive mount and a 60ED imaging refractor for deep-sky. My home skies are Bortle 5, so it’s possible to get some half decent images from the garden.

I did in fact search first, but figured starting one of my own focusing on astrophotography in the photography forum would be fine

great photo! also amazing instrument! im planning on an epsilon one day. Ive pretty much always been a refractor user but it would be incredible to use something as fast as a 180 or 160.

As far as I know, this is the only thread focussing on astro imaging.

im putting together my next setup an waiting for some clear weather in the PNW.

currently its a AP Mach2 mount with an AP110GTX.

Ive used a QSI6120 for the last 8 years on various optics but I’ll be moving to full frame to make use of the GTXs corrected field so im trying to figure out the new image train.

Not the best image? That’s amazing.
Much appreciated 😀

I think it was about 30 mins integration on that image. If I’d have put a couple of hours in, I could have resolved some more detail. I’ll have to revisit and collect some more photons.

lovely shot of out neighbor!
Yep, only 2.5 million light-years away. 😲 I struggle to comprehend these distances, sometimes. Earth is just a blip really.
