Hey everyone, first post on the forum as I try to enter the vintage Omega world by purchasing this piece. Before I do anything stupid, I claim for expert help on assessing this watch. Is it a redial? What are your thoughts on the condition and on the other important aspects to consider? Pictures were taken by the seller. Thanks so much in advance!
Dial has been refinished. Steel case has some rust. A good watchmaker can address the rust, but not the dial. Unless this is very cheap, I would pass on it. gatorcpa
Thanks for the answer. Could you tell me what are the tells for the refinish? Seller is asking 200 USD.

My 1954 omega says hello to yours. Yours looks like new, mine looks like it has been dragged through the wars. Very similar numbers though.
peterkirk01, so the dial I posted looks to new not to be a redial? Is that the key? Would you guys give me your thoughts on this one?
Tells: 1. “Omega” is too wide and font is wrong. 2. Sub seconds hand doesn’t meet the edge of the dial. I suspect that original dial had seconds markers, not a cross hair style. 3. Dial looks new. gatorcpa
Thanks for the insights, gatorcpa . Would appreciate your top investigator comments about my second option I posted above.
