I’m having a great time wearing this recently arrived beauty. A relatively faithful rendition of the original substituting a date window instead of subseconds. It still retains the Paul Newmaneseque subdial markers and dodecagonal bezel but eschews the Valjoux 72 for the ETA 2894. It’s attached to very robust sailstrap on tang buckle. All for a great value. Who else is enjoying the heritage line and what do you like about it?

Longines are producing some of the best heritage reissues these days and at very reasonable prices, this Bigeye Pilot being a good example.

The Big Eye Pilot is so damn handsome, too bad it's not a sapphire caseback so we can look at the movement. I'd like to try on the 36mm version of the LLD, no way will the regular one fit me.
