As some have mentioned, yes, one’s own perspective and experience informs one’s opinion.

I remember as a kid growing up in New York in the 1960’s, that no one locked the doors to their cars. My grandfather told me that, when he was a kid in New York, around the turn of the last century, people didn’t even lock their apartments. Why? Because you were taught that if something doesn’t belong to you, you don’t take it. If you found a wallet with money in it, you returned it to the owner, with all the money intact.

So, at least in America, have things been incrementally slipping in a bad direction? Yes, they have. Why? That’s a complex topic that’s above my pay grade. My suspicion is: must be related, at least in part, to increasing wealth disparity.

Like all things in life ( on the surface at least) every thing filters down from the top with the top setting the direction.
I would say things are currently worse in this instance however humans I beleive tend to be good or try to do the right thing ( even if they don't) everyone tries to beleive they are a good person, there are exceptions of course and for those they tend to get names created by the medical profession or Philosophers. Hey and I never even mentioned the T name once!

The powers that be have people convinced that the fight is left v right, when in reality the fight is up v down…and they are doing a splendid job of keeping the focus on the wrong fight.
