Are these men's watches or women's watches? (Seamaster)

I am male, but I have a small wrist (6"). I am a first time Omega buyer. I am buying this watch for everyday wearing. I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36mm, but it is a very dressy watch. I am considering these watches:

    http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/planet-ocean-600-m/co-axial-375-mm/23292382003001

    http://www.omegawatches.com/collect...-150-m/master-co-axial-38-5-mm/23113392103001

The first two are listed as women's watches on some sites. Are these unisex or women's only?

    Thanks,
    cacofonix

If they are the right size for you and you like how they look and feel, does it really matter?

It's just semantics based on someone's interpretation of the size. It's hardly like the difference between a pair of Timberlands and stilletos.

I also resent the way they divide the gender in new watch collection now.

No more than 15 year ago they called a 36mm seamaster as midsize. Now a 37.5 mm a women watch? ::facepalm1::

Who is "they" that you are referring to? Omega doesn't classify any of the three watches listed by the OP as being specific to any gender...

Well not directly, but if you read this
    http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/seamaster/couple

then you will know why many sites categorize below 38mm new Omega watches as Ladies watch.

Omega is not the only one. Until couple years ago Corum defined 40mm and smaller as ladies watch. Their men watch start at 42mm up to 48mm. I knew because that was one of the reason I sold mine (40mm Admiral Cup).

Not to be pedantic, but they actually don't say the couple is a man and a woman on that page, or who wears the small or bigger watch... ;)

I see your point, but to be frank, 36mm is a small watch by today's standards. My wife wears a vintage 36mm DateJust, and she loves it. The people here who like these smaller watches are the minority. For me life's too short to be worried about how a reseller categorizes a watch...

    Cheers, Al

I wear the smaller watches I have, the 32mm and 33mm diameter military and similar. Don't much care what anyone thinks about it, either.

Me too. I'm a fairly big ol' boy but will also wear 32-33 mm watches. Especially like to wear them around bank meetings and banking seminars and schools where most are sporting the large watches these days.

Take note of the location of the date window on your first 2 watches. Smaller movement inside. I would personally get #3. Better re-sale options ;)

Yes, you are absolutely right. The movement on the third one is a "Master Co-Axial", and the first two is a "Co-Axial". I am almost ready to pull the trigger on the Aqua Terra Seamaster 38.5mm (3rd link). Not that I am planning to resell these watches - they are real collectibles.

Like you I have a small wrist. 6.75" and I prefer watches no more than about 39mm. The 42's and larger just look too big. If you like it, I'd go ahead and buy it.

Speaking of that, damn you for posting! I'm in lust. Again

These planet oceans wear very very small. Go to an AD or boutique and try them on.

Right on...I have watches that are 40mm+ but also love some of the smaller 32/33mm watches from the 40s & 50s...
