I have a small wrist and have worn the Seamster Pro midsize for 15 years. Interested in a Speedy but the only one that really fits (324.30.38.40.06.001) is marked as a ladies watch. Its bigger than the one I have now! I really liked the GreySide of the moon but the watch hangs over the sides of my wrist. Let s bring back the smaller watch!

Post a picture and you will get more help.

Even I am too lazy on a Sunday morning to type the above numbers to see what watch that is......

If the shoe, or watch, fits...wear it.

Just a reduced speedmaster, nothing wrong with them and at 38.5 not really a ladies watch in my opinion.

Most vintage connives are 34 or 35.

So post pictures when you get it.

I asked this question as I wanted the Bond 50th Ann and can only get the midsize which is clearly marketed as 'ladies' with a diamond on the dial!

Well many mid-size sports watches (38-40mm) are being marketed as either ladies or unisex models. Terrible for resale values, but good if you don't mind the size (I don't!), and if you can find a discounted one for sale.

You would need to be in touch with your feminine side with a diamond on the dial :)

I just picked up the 22230385001001 Planet Ocean Chrono, 37.5mm. I have relatively small wrists for a man, but this one sits high and wears much larger than it is. I've only had it for a week but love it.Best part is, I have a watch I can pass down to my daughter some day. Here's a pic

It depends on the watch, some look bigger than they are. For modern, I would not wear anything under 39mm as my wrists and arms are large vintage is another issue of course. A 36mm modern date just looks very odd on me, it looks like a kids watch size when I tried it on prior to purchasing my speedy.

That does not wear like a 37.5mm, it does not look mid size by any stretch of the imagination. Then again no PO looks mid size or approaching mid size.

For 20 years I wore my Tissot since getting my Omega it feels so thin and small. It was very much the 80's early 9o's

What size is your PO? 42mm or 45mm?

The 42mm is the better size in my opinion, the 45mm would of made that Tissot look premature. The moonwatch is 42mm as well and just looks large on my wrist. Mind you the PO wears I am sure bigger than it's size.

I've got small wrists as well and my 39 Aqua Terra is a perfect size for me. Anything larger would be too big.

Speaking of largeness..... I work with a guy who is about the same stature as me and wears a variety of extra large Breitling knock offs. Not only do they look like clocks on a wrist, (I swear they are 1/2 inch thick) none of them even work. He wears them as "decorations."

Attention @LouS - didn't you once tell a story of a Zenith reissue that was 37 mm and was going to be marked as a woman's watch until a few of the Zenith boys told the company they would be nuts to do this?

Roger Dubuis makes a 36 mm Excaliber manual wind that they now call mid-sized because nobody bought it when it came out as a lady's watch.

Anyone that calls a 36mm watch a "girl's watch" can take a hike. A classic Datejust etc looks just fine. Maybe not to the Diesel watch crowd, but if there's one group I couldn't give less of a shit about...

"Real" men or women (and anything inbetween) - do not worry about things like watch size - but are confident in their own choice of watches.

It is all about trends. A "manly" watch was once 30mm. Not long ago they were 45-48mm. Trends...

So... Are you a leader or a follower?
