If I had this bracelet with this clasp or any other clasp with screws for that matter, I would unscrew all and add a drop of 243 Loctite or similar glue simply to put my mind at rest. Screws will be held securely in place but could easily be unscrewed if ever there might be the need to unscrew.
C crgrdApologies for reviving and old post.. but I have this same clasp on my Omega Planet Ocean watch.. which I've just sent in for warranty repair. The shop I have used (an official Omega dealer in the UK and well known jeweler) said "we are not sure they'll honor the warranty on this claim as it's considered wear and tear."
I asked about the clasp number and it would appear it is "STZ001159", this is written on the clasp.. Am I right in assuming this is a known issue? Is there a reference for this problem I could have?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Craig
This is (one of?) the clasps that gets struck on people's wrist, ad yes Omega will cover under warranty.
Have the dealer look the clasp up on the Omega Extranet, and click on the red triangle that comes up beside the clasp. Then they can click on the lower link that comes up in this box:
It will tell them the correct procedure to follow to replace the clasp - there should be no charge to you and if there is, you need to complain.
Cheers, Al
