I bought a few million ($50 worth!) for fun a while back. It's the best performing thing in my portfolio lately, lol. I know it's a really bad project, but I think people are going to keep fomoing in because it looks so cheap. I'm gonna ride it to 1000x or 0.

I'm still a pretty conservative crypto investor (about 5% of NW), but there has been so much positive news lately, I'm starting to get really excited for Q4 and Q1 2022. Maybe I'll actually buy a watch with the proceeds so that this thread can have some watch pics.
Ah yeah I can’t believe something I got as a joke did what it did but I’m thinking along your lines this run is looking a little parabolic which makes me nervous but if you noticed the last few days BTC is detaching from the stock market which is interesting but if we do go on a significant October plus run perhaps i will consider a watch. I was actually talking someone about a DJ last week. It was actually in nice condition and reasonably priced according to recent sales guy wanted to do a Btc transaction and I was really considering it but when I explained I’d like to send some pictures to a few people just to verify hands and dial etc he started getting a bit of an attitude. I tried to keep it cool saying it was nothing about him it was just me utter lack of knowledge in Rolex didn’t seems to calm him down so I thanked him and left. Just as well it literally would have been days before this move and I was being as respectful as possible, I really don’t think I was being unreasonable.

It’s funny to see banks that used to ban me from buying it now offering custodial wallets asking for my business. Well not me specifically just Bitcoin holders. Or the banks and companies that quoted Buffets “rat poison” assessment now trampling over each other to get in on it. I’m not declaring it’s the future I have no clue it’s just been funny to watch the financial players make such drastic changes in their language and use of some of these products
It’s all about following the (virtual) money. I’ve seen the same thing. Many private banks are starting to switch gears after turning this business away for years, and watching it all flow to virtual asset start-ups.

Oh it certainly is. The FDIC is now in discussions about insuring stable coins up to 250k. In order for that to happen the stable coins would need to be issued by banks. The deeper you dig the more you find out what’s going on. Certain tokens are becoming an economy in parts of Southeast Asia where banking for the populace is difficult to access and or expensive. I was surprised how it’s being used in Afghanistan. I think have narrow view on things and look for adoption “around me” and make judgement calls. Then all the speculation on many coins in a way can be upsetting as going back to the original Satoshi white paper we are a long way from original intent. But his blockchain helped us dispense the vaccine and IBM and other companies continue to take blockchain to other levels. So who is to say it’s a bad thing? I don’t know 90% of the tech is beyond my grasp. Too many variables at play to say where it’s going I’m really not that good at predicting the future anyway. We will find out I guess.

I wonder what the people who said that crypto has a problem with money laundering have to say about the dollar banking system and the Pandora Papers.

This seems like a strange way to go about it. If you wanted a stock play on Bitcoin I think microstratagies would be the way to go but whatever, I wonder if this played into that Tesla bounce today but I didn’t see it after hours anyway. Well things don’t have to make sense to me for them to happen. Very rarely am I consulted on such matters, actually never but I can just talk like I know everything and am always right. I see people do that and I’m pretty sure they believe themselves after a while.

Let’s see Bitcoin breaks 60k it’s always good to listen to those who know the future and can tell you the price and they are 100% sure they are right. Back in the day when Btc hit 20k the experts told us it’s future here is one, always listen to these people they are never wrong

listen how sure he is. These people are something else

Amazing how high this thing is and looks like it is going. Even Jamie Dimon says it’s worthless.

It's funny when people who are happy to hold dollars call Bitcoin a scam.

Hey not trying to get advice or anything just some info. Crypto can be useless and a waste of power and it’s going to 0 blah blah I’m fine with all that tbh I have no clue about it’s or anything’s future. Ok here is the info I’m looking for. Got interested in Solana a while back. So I picked up a small bag and I’ve been sitting on it. It did pretty well and there is a lot being built on it so I’m planning on just holding it see if it goes to zero or a billion. I got the exodus wallet where you can stake SOL at 6.35%apy. I figured since I just sit on this stuff as I’m curious to see if it’s a flash in the pan or will we see crypto evolve and be used I might as well put it to work. Has anyone used the exodus wallet? I have read of hacks but now I’m hearing people were manipulated into giving out their private keys. So that’s pretty much it. I just found another wallet that pays 7% I might utilize that but I don’t think I have done my due diligence and that can be a poor move. I’m smart enough to set up as much security as I can and I don’t give out my keys of course but I know the hackers and scammers know this tech 100X better than me.

I read if you are in the US and have a credit card you should just assume it’s been hacked and the info is on the dark web. With new people coming into crypto everyday it’s an easy target for scammers. Or is the wallet your using taking security seriously? Way too much I don’t know. The safest option is cold storage and I’m ok with that 6% is cool but it’s not going to make or break me. If I am increasing my risk needlessly I’d like to remedy that but it’s best to hear from actually users. I could not recommend Solana of course I’m not an advisor. It did have a glitch not too long ago but that could be partly due to that meteoric success it had. If you look at the one year chart it is an impressive sight. Where will we be in five years? Ten? Will crypto only be in the history books? I never liked the “digital gold” label put on Bitcoin. But I see now why people so frequently use it. Wasn’t meant to be a store of value but when things change it doesn't necessarily mean it’s bad or failed. It just evolved into a new thing.

Well long ramble off my quest to ask for info about the exodus wallet.
