Are IWC Dials Between The 809A and 810A Interchangable?

Hi,

I have an IWC 810a with caliber 8541 from 1964. The dial is damaged, and I found the same dial, but, it's noted as from a 809a.

Does anyone know if these dials are essentially interchangeable? Or where I can get a clean 810a dial per my picture posted below? Talking to an AD, they suggested IWC no longer has these dials and would end up refinishing it.

I could not find much on these IWC watches nor the differences between these models.

Thanks.

Maybe you can get some accurate measurements of the two dials to compare. Or tbh, sometimes you just have to take your chances and keep buying parts until you find one that works.

Unfortunately, there is no particular place to find replacement dials, you just have to hunt.

Thanks Dan as always great ideas. According to the seller,

810a
809A, Cal. #8541 Movement
Diameter = 30.00mm
Feet Position = 12 & 36 Minute

810b
I've been googling and looking at old eBay listings without luck.

Hi, at the IWC community forum (never new they had one) I got a response.

One of the senior members noted the 809a and 810a are interchangeable, however, not period correct, "the 809 doesn't have a Calatrava baton" which in my rush - to ensure I can get into the bid - I did not notice (pictured below).

According to her, there was a low number of my watch's dial produced and the "810 d-qts" dial would be a viable option. However, I've not heard, nor apparently much on Google, of what that is or where to get it.

If anybody know that'd be helpful. Otherwise, I'll dig around more and update here.

Here's the dial on eBay that I had considered getting,
