Are 1116 and 1098 Bracelet links interchangeable?

These bracelets look identical and have been described as such on prior threads.
Have a slightly short 1116 bracelet- would an extra link from 1098 fit the 1116?

So I’ve probably owned 4 1098’s and 2 1116’s. 80% an extra link would fit, but i’ve occasionally noticed some differences between bracelets and had parts that weren’t completely interchangeable. It might have been due to when/where they were produced.
