Aquastar 1701 - So many variants. Any info on this dial?

    It is a nice watch but I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know. This is a nice off brand diver from the 60's. The hands are correct. Black and blue are the most common dial colours. The movement is an AS 1701, which the caseback states.

    Thanks for the info. Yes I have been researching a bit but I did completely understand completely that it was unbranded. So basically the company AQUASTAR and the rest is just names for marketing?

    What did you want to know about it? These are good quality skin divers, with a distinctive style and generic parts. That one looks legit to me. The dial is a bit toasty, but some people will like that.

    Hey Dan, how are you? Hope all is well. What does generic parts mean, not to sure about the word GENERIC, sorry my English is far from perfect.
    Basicly the AQUASTAR company made different versions of the same watch Duvalt for the Spanish market Ect.?
    Dome have a star on the dial some don't, some have a signed crown, some don't.
    I have now narrowed my collection to divers and found these watches interesting. I like the look of 63 case and the toasted dial.
