Such a cool unusual watch I picked up earlier in the year. The second hand is the “Peace sign”. It has a Swiss movement by Sovereign Watch company??? And the dial and case made in Hong Kong. Anyone shed any light???? Guessing late 50’s to early 60’s.
BFG = Swiss manufacturer Baumgartner. Maker of (ahem) popular priced pin lever, low or no jewel movements for very inexpensive watches.
Some folks collect watches like that. Not many on the Omega Message board, though. And certainly, not me.
That is one bare bones movement. I don’t think you could find a cheaper one from that period. Even the fakes from that period used AS movements.
True but your reply is over 2 years after the OP created this thread, so to find one in mint condition like yours is near impossible since collectors aren't inclined to sell
