I am looking at 2 AT’s, both are 41.5, one is the Ryder Cup the other is the Golf 231.10.42.21.02.004. The Ryder Cup has the blue Omega Velcro strap and the golf model has the SS bracelet. They are fairly close in price because the Golf has factory warranty left, Ryder Cup is $500 less and has no cards or warranty. I want to know opinions on which to get. 53AB656F-910D-4ABB-8CF4-883AACB192C8.jpeg 09411F66-AB69-4110-B408-C765F0B82EF3.jpeg

I like the second one. Hands and markers match with the strap. It’s up to your personal taste.

+1 for the second one, I think the dial is nicer, almost waffle effect.

+1 for the Ryder Cup version. I like how the face is a golf ball. The dark blue looks really nice.

I like the Golf edition. Biased because I just bought one recently. :) I looked at both versions up close and wasn't a huge fan of the waffle pattern on the face of the Ryder Cup watch. The contrast of the blue hour/minute hands and the gold second hand on the Golf edition is really nice in person. Really you can't go wrong with either.

Another vote for watch #2. I might prefer it on a bracelet, but the reality is that I tend to buy them on the bracelet and immediately change them to a strap. Boxes, papers and bracelets are for resale.

    :)

I think that number 2 works better, the design "feels" complete whereas number 1 looks like a bit of a hodge-podge. And this from a bloke who owns the AT in white/opaline teak dial watch which is proably why I'm not keen on #1 but you've got to admit the photo isn't great....

I'm always paranoid in thinking that modern watches without cards ("papers") are stolen.

#2. Remember trying it at a OB and really liked it. That strap is nice. Something consider: it will cost you far more to get a bracelet than a strap. Something to consider if $$ plays into your decision making.

At the end of the day it all boils down to personal preference and what YOU like :) Going purely by the pictures, I‘m with tikkathree on this one as the design in the second picture is more rounded.

    Pun intended? haha

I like the Ryder Cup AT. There isn't anything referencing it on the dial so it still has the standard AT look, but with a cool dial. I'm also not a fan of vertical/horizontal stripes on my watches just yet.

That'a a poor picture of the AT Golf edition. It looks much nicer in person.

It’s a special edition box, also has the Ryder Cup logo on the inside. The box is just a little larger than the regular issue.

Also, I would like to know what material Omega uses on those blue hour markers? My research only says faceted? In the sun they have a deep blue glow, I tried to capture in the photos but in person it is stunning. Anybody know if that is a stained white gold? I have no idea
