Aqua Tera day date

Hi all,
I'm new here, and currently have a PO 2208 whichI love. I want to add another Omega to the collection and have been looking for a preowned or unworn Aqua Terra Day Date (231.10.42.22.03.001) now discontinued. I've been looking for about a year now but can't find one for sale anywhere in the UK. For a non-limited edition watch they sure seem very uncommon on the secondary market
I regularly look online, but only see the odd one or two for sale overseas. Can you folks advise where best to look? Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Fwiw You included a photo of the wrong watch, if you’re looking for the Day-Date.

At any rate, all of the ones I’ve seen on chrono24 are false leads: “the watch will need to be procured.” And they’re very expensive.

You’ll just have to keep hunting. This is a discontinued model (as you know) and is a serious contender for the best looking steel AT Omega ever made. I don’t think it’s going to be an easy one to obtain, alas.

I've owned one for 7 years. Sold it recently just because Speedmaster ousted it from my wrist as a daily watch.

You'll have to hope someone on the forum has one they can part with. This watch are rare to find.

This watch - but updated with a 38.5mm case, less thick, with a new AT dial*… surely this product is in OMEGA’s pipeline, right? Or maybe even a Globemaster day date?

*the tapestry is also lovely!

Yep,that's the one Carlos.
I'm being picky, I'd like it to be in the UK so I could see it before I buy.

What would be a reasonable price to pay for a vgc used day/date with box and paperwork? From a retailer or private seller.

So many variables---a lot of Day-Date models, and "vgc" can mean different things to different people. Do you care if the watch has been polished to remove scratches?--a collector might, but a casual wearer might not.

Assuming you mean the 231.10.42.22.03.001, which is what you originally queried, it seems like there's a preowned one (on Chrono24) in the UK now for about 6300GBP (7900 USD). There's also a new one (on eBay) here in the states for about 5800GBP (7400USD). Both look authentic from the photos, but with Chrono24 and eBay, you're assuming a certain amount of risk (with some measure of guarantee from the sites, but it can be chancy).

For that particular watch, that seems to be about the going price---it's an expensive piece because it's discontinued and sought-after. I'd imagine you could negotiate down to 5000-to-5500GBP, but who knows. I think sellers might rather not lower the price too much, even if the watch sits for a long time, because they know a buyer will come along eventually.

All that said, in my personal opinion, that's a lot of money for a stainless steel watch from a mass-producing SWATCH brand. Everybody has to decide for themselves, but I would have a hard time justifying that price for that watch. I'd be inclined to set an automated alert and wait for one to come along (maybe when the market softens) for closer to 3k. That's what it'd be worth to me.
