DNN instead of DON. Would you buy the watch at all if it’s in otherwise good condition? If so, with decent used DON bezel prices in the stratosphere these days, how much of a deduction would you make in either percentage terms or dollars for a 145.012-67 Speedy Pro with a DNN?

Really need to see photos to make a determination as there are so many subjective factors beyond just the bezel

Max. US $ 1000.

This makes sense from a seller’s perspective but maybe not as a buyer. DON bezel prices aren’t as crazy as they were at the peak, but I think the price difference between a DNN and DON in equivalent good condition is still quite a bit more than this these days. You would need to put in at least $2k (net) to upgrade if that was your goal. So personally I would probably not buy it if the discount was only $1k. However, someone who doesn’t know the difference might pay that much, which could make it hard to get the price down.

This is all just based on hypothetical numbers. If the watch is really amazing, you still might want to grab it.

I calculate that differently. you want a watch with the DoN Bezel. you can get the watch with a DnN bezel. you buy that watch with the DnN bezel for minus US$ 1000. next step: You remove the unwanted DnN bezel and sell it. the price minus the saved US$ 1000 from the purchase should be enough to buy you the wanted DoN bezel. now you have what you wanted in the first place...... Kind regards. Achim

If it is in good condition and the price is low, you might buy the watch.
I am not sure about the price adjustment... Sorry.

Read this and if you still have questions, you shouldn't be buying a Speedmaster.

Thanks. I read that a long time ago along with many other articles about Omega watches. I currently own two Speedmasters and have owned and sold others. I still find it useful to seek advice from other OF members.

As has been said it all depends on the rest if the watch.

If it's in average or below condition you're not going to want to put a €3.5K mint DON on it and visa versa, if it is a perfect condition watch you don't want a shabby "meteorite" bezel

So the discount would be on a variable scale comparable to overall condition

Sorry, but you haven't provided enough information for anything other than guesswork. Are you buying or selling? What condition DON will suit you - prices vary wildly. Which Speedmaster reference, and in what condition?

All I can do is wish you luck. Good luck.
