Great watch & congratulations. I wish I had picked one up when they were readily available. Amazing looking dial and one of my favorite Apollo missions. Fortunate to have had dinner with Gen. Stafford several years ago at an event. Just took a look at a picture I had taken with him and noticed he was wearing a standard Speedmaster.
I appreciate all the feedback I got from everyone. So I finally got back home and I thought I add some pictures for you all. A couple of people mentioned that the watch is over polished but I don't think it has ever been polished. I am surely not an expert so I will leave you guys to decide.
Also the box was offered to me by one of our members so I am very happy about that.
So price was not negotiable. Ended up paying the $4,900. However they gave me a few things with it. Thank you for all of you that shared your thoughts 👍
Congrats on the new watch. I picked up a new Apollo Soyuz with the original box and papers this past May from the San Diego OB. I then took it to Spacefest and got astronaut Vance Brand who flew on Apollo Soyuz to sign the box and hold the watch. I love the meteorite dial and the back of the watch which has the Apollo Soyuz design created by space artist Robert McCall. Wear the watch with Omega Pride. Awesome watch.
Great idea to get Vance Brand to sign the box. I always enjoyed seeing what watches the Apollo astronauts wore at Spacefest. Alan Bean with his gold Speedmaster and the late Gene Cernan with his Speedmaster x-33.
