I bought this March 2018 at an Omega boutique in Jacksonville Fl which is now closed. I love the watch and it was a closet queen for the first 3 years. I only wore it on special occasions. 2 years ago I started wearing it daily. I have NOT been hard on this watch as it only has one small desk diver scratch. Last week my clasp broke. It won’t lock closed. Hard to believe after 2 years of easy wear.
Any alternative to buying a new clasp? Dealer only source?
I’m not planning to service it for at least a couple of more years since it was not in use for the first three. If you disagree let me know. Thanks for any input

pics?

Can you just squeeze the sides to 'tighten' the fit of the covering piece over the base piece?

Tried that. I squeezed the sides and then put clasp in place and released side tabs. Does not lock. I will try pictures but if I need a host I don’t have one any longer

I also think something happen to the spring because the clasp looks fine for me. Did you try to fix it to a local watchmaker? Doesn't seem to complicate..

Stinks that you missed the 5 year warranty by only three months. I agree that a trusted local watchmaker could fix it.

Five year warranty didn't start until July 2018 so he was way out of warranty.

I didn't realize that this watch had the adjustable clasp feature. Hopefully it's just a minor repair.

In my humble opinion, it looks like it could use a cleaning. Maybe if you soap it up and run it under water while working it over with a toothbrush, you might loosen up whatever is sticking.

I meant he would have had the five year warranty if he would have bought three months later. It just didn’t come out of my fingertips the way I wanted it to 😀

It does need a cleaning but that’s not the issue. The spring in the lock system is inop. I can. Slide the release tabs on the clasp from side to side. Will clean anyway as it needs it thanks

Spring looks heavily worn to me.
I’m more ocd than most, but with all of my bracelets, I always release the pressure on the clap as I put it on over the tang, to avoid this wear caused when simply pushing it closed. Perhaps this is standard practice though

When you say the spring looks heavily worn tell me what you’re seeing. Is the whole too big? I have not been releasing the pressure on the clasp. I have been snapping it shut. I guess that’s wrong

It looks like there’s an angled groove in that would match the locking tang.
I don’t know whether this would be considered wrong or not. I’m more ocd than most and try to minimize how much I take off a watch to avoid wear on locking mechanisms. I don’t know how much it helps to push the springs in while locking, but someone could probably show me irrefutable evidence that it has zero effect and I would still do it. It doesn’t exactly take extra time

Hmmm…. 5 years from July 2018 is July 2023, so shouldn’t it still be under warranty?

He bought it in March 2018, so its two year warranty ran out in March 2020.

****UPDATE***********

I received my watch back and they replaced the buckle but also the crown, two buttons for the stopwatch function, resealed the watch via water resistant service. Tested to factory specs. It was returned to me with a beautiful red case. No charge for any of it. Thank you OMEGA.

That was very generous of Omega to do all of that for FREE.
Yes indeed. I’m impressed……might have to get another
