I was at the Vancouver Omega Boutique today to pick up my Speedy Tuesday and had the opportunity to try on the new "Last Steps on the Moon" Speedmaster for the 45th Anniversary of Apollo 17 in yellow gold.

I'm not a huge fan of gold watches but really liked the polished blue ceramic dial.

That is definitely the colour combo to go for on that model

 

I finally saw these in person last week as well. They definitely look nicer in person, but overall too much going on in the dial for me.

The gold isn't "too" bad

 

Saw the steel in person and pictures do not do it justice. The combination of steel, blue and gold are perfect (for me) and make for a wonderful tribute to Gene Cernan.
