Now that the 50th Apollo 11 unveilings are done, any rumors or chit chat about the Apollo 13 50th (hopefully snoopy) edition? When do you think we can start putting deposits? Do you think the prices on the 45th will start to fall with this upcoming release?

My OB contacted me March 16 for deposit for the 50th 11 watch. So probably US OB will take deposits 2 months before the Snoopy is launched? I bet it will have gold on it being it's also a 50th.

Apollo XIII - my new forum avatar. A little Photoshop magic and the background disappears.

After the mega rollout for the Apollo 11 I would expect a low key affair for Apollo 13. There may not even be a pre-sale/deposit opportunity.

I would expect the two existing Snoopys will only go up in price, especially if next year's Apollo 13 is a third Snoopy. I'll be putting down my deposit as soon as my OB gives me the green light! I passed on the Apollo 11 this year. Not really my thing for $10k USD.

This. The release of a new version of an existing (popular) watch generally increases interest in the latter as well.

I think it will be very hard to secure a 50th Apollo XIII if they stick with the Snoopy theme and ~2000 pieces for the following reasons:
    - people's fear of missing out on the next Snoopy (literally)
    - popularity of the Snoopy character - thus a wider audience than just watch aficionados
    - special fascination for the Apollo XIII mission due to its near-catastrophic outcome
    - lots of collectors disappointed with the Apollo XI release and unused deposits laying around

If they use the new movement you'll probably see a) higher price point and b) far more than 197O pieces. Omega is not going to leave money on the table like they did last time. If they use any gold expect a price similar to the Apollo 11.

They announced the 11 two months before the anniversary, so maybe next Feb., or at their own show in March.

I wonder how folks would feel if the Snoopy was priced at $10K. Would the masses be balking then? It would be interesting to watch......:whistling:::popcorn::::popcorn::

And if the edition size was, say, 5,000 and if Omega used, shudder, gold!!!! What then?

It would be lame if they made a SILVER Snoopy Award watch out of gold simply because it's the 50th. Sterling silver accents would be more appropriate imo.

Maybe make the actual snoopy figure gold on the back to mark the 50th thing?

Have had my intent to purchase in with the OB in Manchester for several months.

I have had several Speedy LE’s from them and they know I am not a flipper.

I have high hopes for this piece,

I hope to land one. Careful: Unless u have made prior purchases at an OB , you may not get into the waiting list (was told that to my face).

Yes this was made very clear to me also.

My OB is making significant efforts to be aware of who is flipping LE’s, they have multiple feedback sources!

Those people won’t be joining anymore lists.
