Hey, Can anyone work out what is going on here? It looks like the Apollo 13 moonwatch from 1995, the dial has the ex luna scientia apollo 13 patch. But the box and papers don't seem to match, the original box was black. The warranty card shows ref. 3590.0500 which is a standard speedmaster, the limited edition ref. was 3595.52.00. It also doesn't have the "limited series xxx/999" writing on the caseback.

The caseback and full set should look like this.

Obviously it's a standard Speedy that's been re-dialled with the Apollo dial.

That's what I thought but with it being a limited edition, where would he have got the dial from?

    Ahh, the internet

Many special or limited edition dials are available for sale on eBay and other sources

Dials are available on eBay. Same with other references like Mitsukoshi, Japan Racing, Gemini and Apollo 11 35th Anniversary.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping it was the limited edition which is very collectable, I'll give this one a miss.

If you like the look just value it no more than a regular Speedy in the same condition.

The seller was asking for 5,000 euros (5,900 us dollars) which would have been a good price for the limited edition. I guess this one is worth around $3,000 - $3,500

My opinion that it's worth less than a regular Speedy...to buy one of this and to find out that it's not a limited as described in my eyes it's like a fake one..maybe I exaggerate a little...

Good point. It needs to be advertised as a redial and not as an authentic Apollo 13. But the value will be up to the buyer based on valid information about the watch.

What a shame. If I ever hit 100 posts, that is the FIRST WTB I am going to put out there.

I agree. It‘s a put together piece which doesn‘t have the correct parts for any reference.
