    The little gold dot in the middle of the window in the picture below is the tiniest damn thing, but I find it thrilling that it was a part of the Apollo 13 capsule: was launched atop a Saturn V, flew to and around the moon, and returned to Earth, re-entered and landed safely.

    (At about $2.25 billion dollars / kilogram, I think this is the most valuable thing I own.)
