There is a local auction house that has a flown Apollo 12 mission pin coming up for auction in a couple of weeks... https://www.lelandlittle.com/l/apollo-12-mission-flown-grumman-tie-pin/auction/349/lot/376/ Apollo 11 lunar module 6 ID plate https://www.lelandlittle.com/l/the-...ule-iintrepidi-identific/auction/349/lot/375/ Apollo 11 lunar module and cert scale model https://www.lelandlittle.com/l/grum...-an-apollo-11-team-certi/auction/349/lot/374/ Talk about a cool as hell piece of kit to have with your 105.012! I am more than happy to help anyone with pick-up and shipping, as it is right down the road from me. They are a very reputable and high end auction house. Don't see these everyday.
Very cool but why a tie pin? I don't think I've seen a photo of the crew wearing a tie while on mission
Some cool stuff. I forgot that Pete Conrad was on Apollo 12. I was in high school with his oldest son, Peter, during his Skylab mission.
I've been out of work since October... the payout is dwindling... I sold two watches this week so that I have funds to pay the bills should I be unable to get work... space items can wait.
very cool stuff indeed...Thx for sharing...The Lunar module and Apollo Certificate are just miam miam...
I'd guess that with the weight limits, a stash of small items were flown for presentation/marketing purposes? Ahh google: http://www.spaceflownartifacts.com/flown_apollo12_tie_pins.html
