The real tribute is if Omega filmed this in the same studio the moon landing was filmed in. ::rimshot::

Be careful with what you say. This guy found out Buzz doesn't like such talk.

I remember that. The guy's name is Bart Sibrel, and he basically tricked Buzz into giving him an interview then kept harassing him to "swear on the Bible that you walked on the moon." Aldrin laid him out just to get the guy to leave him alone. The guy then took that video to the police and tried to have Aldrin charged with assault, and the police basically laughed him out of the precint.

If they give us a new moonwatch, can we please, oh please, get long hour markers back?

There're far more important upcoming Omega anniversaries ... 100 years George Daniels and 50 years ASTP, to name a few... even the most important spaceflight related Speedmaster anniversary!

No one puts any more importance in a 55th anniversary than they do a 54th or 56th anniversary. Why would anyone expect a new watch, especially in light of Omega's current policy of LE watches? Irrational exuberance.

This is what happens when you keep asking about the "secret" anniversary LE edition.

Also remember when this happened and was a bush league move by the reporter who name doesn't matter.

55 years and all you get is a YouTube rendered video of the current models

That's because there is most likely no new model to show. What you see is what Omega is offering, i.e., no new model.

Agreed, A15/A17 50th didn't happen, July 21st went by without an A11 55th. Safe to say it won't happen tomorrow.
