Hi

I'm planning on buying a watch remotely from Watchworks Inc out in Portland. In the short email I've had with Sam Robb their manager and looking through their site, it seems like they're a pretty good store. Looking through omegaforums.net, i found this post with comments mentioning Watchworks and it looks generally positive

Their reviews on google are also pretty good so I'm a bit confident buying from there but are there others who have experience availing of their services?

Thanks

Well, since I posted in the first link, I wouldn't be another person. But I will comment:

They've been in business over 30 years and warranty their watches if there is a problem. They have many repeat customers, myself included. I think there are others here who know WWPDX, but I can't say.

They have a WOSTEP trained watchmaker on staff who has worked for the company almost the entire time.

They are a dealer for Longines, Hamilton, Tissot, Oris and Bell and Ross, which means those brands have confidence in them, as opposed to simply being a used watch store. They used to be an Omega AD and Breitling, but stopped when they closed their storefront (due to looting) and opened in their new, smaller location. Omega requires display cases, etc.

For complete disclosure, I helped them get their website up and running after their store downtown closed. I was a customer and recently retired, plus Covid had just started, so I had time and wanted to see them stay in business. It took about a year. I'm still friends, so not an independent reviewer.
