Hi guys, I have a '70 or '71 145.022 with a DON bezel and stepped dial. Bought it ten years ago from a friend and serious collector for a great price. It's always had issues, like chrono dials not resetting, then a hand falling off. Now it's stopped running completely. Given the awesomeness of the watch, I will not give up on it. I am really nervous about shipping it, though, and RGM is about an hour away from me. Anyone ever send anything there for service or restoration? I don't want any cosmetic work done, just to get the movement going again. No clue what the problem is. Pic is from happier days when it ran.
They are Sinn’s US repair center. I’m going to be using them for a 903 which has a Lemania version of the 862.
I’ve had two watches made for me by them. Can’t say enough about their service. They have a great rep on servicing .
thanks guys, I knew about their great reputation, but wanted to get some reassurance. And boy, would I love to get one of their pieces. Their Classic Chronographs (http://www.rgmwatches.com/watches#/455/) are beautiful.
I have used them for a service on a 145.012-67 a few years back. I can highly recommend them. Price, communication, and quality of service all top notch.
I was going to start using them for repairs but found a UG worthy watchmaker in my town that I had been willfully overlooking. RGM have a flat rate and then work from there. They won’t quote unless they see the watch. I would not heasitate to use them however. They are superb at communicating once their process is underway.
