Now I do like a nice project watch, but perhaps this would be biting off a little bit more than my watchmaker can chew? http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970s-Vinta...242501?hash=item51f45f6145:g:0MYAAOSwCU1Ysy0WPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I... Just don't see the value? Who could have the "missing" parts to complete this without it being a complete money sink? IMO, this is going from one person's project drawer to another's... Case looks ok, but I guess these still pop up from time to time? The case back is spectacular!
Only maybe case and hands can be used. My opinion is that this watch cant be restored, only bought for few parts! This was abused watch!
Look at the gouges in the back of the case where someone has levered off the case back - I can't see value anywhere in this thing. And yet, someone will buy it...
I don't see the problem. You'll never get a Big Blue cheaper than this. Just glue the caseback on, put a nice isofrane strap on it and you're good to go. Just don't take it anywhere near the water.
Good god. This looks like a diver found it on the bottom of the ocean after someone lost it there a couple of decades ago
I've been watching this, and am kind of astonished that it has been bid up this high. I'm genuinely curious what the winning bidder might do with it. Paperweight?
