First, please forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong thread, since this one falls awkwardly in between vintage & modern omega watches.
Second, I've purposely included only one picture and separately the links, for the sake of those who are allergic to obnoxiously flashy watches.
Third, this is TLDR but I'm following the rules here, sorry for boring you all. But I could use some help especially regarding the rule "buy the SELLER" in this situation. I'm reaching out for advice as a noob purchaser, and I don't want to miss any details.

So, between looking for a gold C-case Connie and some megaquartz/electronics, (I can explain....later...) I came across a few of these, and they seem rather rare. (Based on the fact that there aren't many info/sales listings on google). I know this is totally an anomaly but I'm far from being a collector, and I have unusual taste.

I first discovered this from a private seller named 'omega' a few weeks ago (local ad here: https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/sierad...f5dcc18d02a99040ca8de656940d2&previousPage=lr). He used catawiki/stock photos from google for his sales description. Before he had a few more photos up, but now left only the one shown above. When requested, he did provide additional photos of the watch to prove he was indeed in possession it. He insisted that he bought them a few years ago, and purchased it brand new as NOS, from an authorized retailer.
He has nothing else but the watch. No card, no box, no proof of purchase, etc.

Another one popped up on ebay recently that caught my eye:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-CO...300398?hash=item59327027ee:g:jx8AAOSwFTddT-ZR
This ebay seller used the same stock/catawiki photos for the same watch as the local private seller did. Not just a few, but all 4~5 of those pictures... This person also has no card, no box, no proof of purchase.

My main concerns are:
1) They both claim the composition is SS + 18kt rose gold. But from omegawatches.com, there's very little info available. (https://www.omegawatches.com/media/pdf/watches/product-sheet/world/en-gb/13043500-en-gb.pdf)
The one on ebay has the reference code of 1304.35.00, and the other 'code' as given by the seller, which I assume is the serial code, is 408701035461. I could only find the rough production year and not much else with this information. I've been trying to search using these:
http://www.elitetimepieces.com/omegaref.html
and
https://quillandpad.com/2017/11/21/...14-magic-digits-codification-tables-revealed/
I've had no luck. What did I do wrong here?
How is it that they knew what kt gold they are without having opened case themselves?
I know this because I asked for photos of inside of the case and predictably neither of them could.
2) Do you think there's anything else I can find just from the picture of the listing?

I'm skeptical of the fact that:
3) On omega's site, it doesn't say anything about these being the anniversary edition.
4) Neither of them have any of the cards, boxes, proof of purchase..etc. That concerns me because I don't know their service history. I'd think if there was ever a reason for anyone who cares about their watches to hold onto their proof of purchase/card, it would have to be the 'rare/limited edition'. Am I being too picky here?

I want to believe that these are real and a safe choice, as I would seriously consider purchasing, granted their prices are negotiable. (I also saw a few other sold listings outside ebay that sold these in full set with warranty for much lower). I'd really like to see what you all think of this watch, about purchasing online, anything you can point out about these watches. Feel free to shred it to pieces because I find those most educational & entertaining. 🍿
Sorry again for the long read everyone and TGIF!

Hi @Otterina

I think the lack of response is directly related to your first comment.

Connie collectors in the vintage forum don’t get too involved in this style of watch and so can’t really comment on the rights and wrongs of the watch you posted.

Ya sorry I have one Connie from the sixties and I’m not as knowledgeable as many here. I will say I always like that look of the Connie you are interested in. It’s a very nice dress watch. I look around but only see them in quartz. I don’t mind Quartz but I’m focusing on automatics now. Hopefully you will get the info you need, good luck.

Very difficult to make meaningful comments when all there is to refer to is an out of focus, grainy, badly lit, oblique shot of the watch. I suspect this modern version of a Constellation doesn’t create much of a buzz among frequent posters to the OB. On a watch that appears to be fairly modern, there are no papers, no warranty, no box, no proof of purchase? 95th anniversary? Has the Constellation name really been around for nearly a century? If you buy it, I hope it works out for you!

@Canuck
Stupid mistake on my part, sorry!! The year is 1995, and it's supposed to have been the 50th anniversary.

@Walrus
You're right, I've seen more of these in quartz as well. Thank you.

I own one of these.
It is ss and rose gold and no I don’t think papers and box are that important for any omega really, they can just sometimes be a nice addition.

What were your other questions because at 11pm that post was reall tldr.

Edited to add:
Never heard of these being an anniversary edition. Simply got it from a AD in 2008.

I will add these are very commonly faked. Very popular watch in China so be very careful.
Do a lot of research on the difference between legit and fake. IIRC the inside of the bracelet was one of the give aways

I would go more for box and papers or from a reputable dealer for a little bit more if I was buying.

So I searched on google as you made me curious, found this link https://www.timezone.com/2003/08/07/new-model-omega-constellation-50th-anniversary-8703/ but that is about it.
The article was written in 2003 despite the revamp (which changed the style of these models to the one in your photo) happening in 1995.

It all seems a bit thin on information.
This was exactly the blog post that threw me off, but seemed fishy (and I also couldn't find the link afterwards) so I decided not to include it in my first post!

This is SO helpful. THANK YOU @STANDY and @SG90 !
I didn't see these often enough to suspect this model was frequently faked.
I mentioned the lack of box and certificate not as a deterent (as for all watches) but because I wanted to see if my suspicion was warranted.
With both your information it seems clear that everything "anniversary" = fake.

I DID find a reputable store on eBay that offers this one in SS with certificate and their own warranty. Nothing about anniversary, regular case back, etc. Looks more safe to me!

I'm super relieved I waited longer for more advice.

@Otterina if you like this style which is more similar to modern ones have you thought to reach out to some of the reputable dealers here on the forum who sell modern second hand watches?
They might have the type of watch that you like?
Best regards
