I'm clearing out a lot of old cr*p that I picked up at auction (story is, I wanted a couple of things in a huge mixed box and now I'm left with lbs of old clock parts and general tat) then, at the bottom of this box, I saw an old watch bracelet. Never seen one like this before ... but it looks like a Bonklip. The clasp (if you can call these things clasps) is stamped Roskopf and Australia and has 15mm spring bars in the ends.

Before I throw away some obscure piece of 1920s watch making history, does anyone know anything about these or are they just tat?

Oh ...and threads are useless without photos ...

Who knows, but now I've figured out how the thing goes together, it seems a lot more secure than I first thought .. IMG_20170228_1532512[590].jpg

.. and for those wondering why I would spend ten hard earned british pounds on a box of rubbish, it's because it was full of pretty pictures. Books and books of pretty pictures ...

That's a bonklip style bracelet. An early favorite of military because the length is such it can be wore outside a jacket or inside a sleeve. I love mine:

Thanks - I wasn't sure as I've never had one of these in my hands.
