Anyone enjoy fine cigars?

I love my cigars...and pipes. If the apocalypse comes and I am fortunate to live long enough there's enough tobacco to last me a decade at least. I cellar tobacco like people hoard toilet paper at the current time馃榿.
3 boxes of each came in last week.

Honestly, the multi label thingy is a pain as I smoke to the nub.

Would love to hear views from fellow cigar lovers on the cigars they smoke (taste, nuances, etc) so I can learn. So much gobbledygook spouted by 'experts' that all that's been done is push prices up and limited editions released faster than watch companies馃槈.

Stay safe fellow puffers.

First, congrats on some fine selections. Second, you're correct to stick to Cubans. They're the best and most flavored. I have yet to taste a cigar from other banana republics that have the same flavor intensity. Lastly, stay away from Cohibas. They're way overrated and overpriced.

Smoking them down is sometimes great but they can become bitter towards the nub. Also, the tar, nicotine and other chemicals becomes very strong and can be overwhelming. I know some people who will only smoke down to the last quarter of the cigar and stop there because of that. One way to counteract some of that is to take fewer puffs as you get closer to the end. You would also reduce the heat as well.

Nowadays not very often, but I do love a half corona Upmann

But I'm possibly a bit of a punk on this subject as I get about the same degree of pleasure from a Villiger or a couple on Mini Wildes!

warm summer nights with a great cigar and a local beer - is there anything better than this?

Perfect dinner.. love a Saturday night!
Yup! Life seems to be getting back to normal- I cherish my Saturday night group ritual now (which we started back up 3 weeks ago as none of us see anyone but each-other). We were getting a little...bitchy about our friends in late February... can鈥檛 believe how much we missed them.

Now we're on a slippery slope. Yes, is my answer. For preference, Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure.

I'm not a fan of matches. Blue flame lighter is the way forward.

If you ever have the chance to go through Beirut airport, I think there is the world's largest walk in humidor there - certainly I was able to get well stocked up last year sufficient that I won't run out until the end of next year at least.

Partagas Maduro No.1 just like chocolate mousse cake without the guilt. Draw is snug and smoke somewhat wispy, but flavors are full and burn is razor sharp

I used to smoke a variety of brands and sizes, but I smoke infrequently now so have settled on my favorite: Romeo y Julietta 1875.

Great cigar and whisky/brandy 馃槈
Well, yes, now that you bring up whisky with cigars, I have to admit I am torn! I lean toward the beer earlier on in the warm evenings and switch to the single malts {or occasionaly a burbon} as the sun nears setting.

I've never actually tried beer with a cigar - it might solve the hydration problem that goes with drinking a strong spirit and smoking at the same time.
