Anyone enjoy fine cigars?

Wow. After being dormant for two years, this thread has come back to life. Cool. Like the OP, one of my favorites is the Fuentes Short Story. It's a nice, pleasant short smoke -- about the most I can handle most of the time. I do partake of larger cigars occasionally, but rarely get halfway through them (i know, sacrilege). Because of this, I like good tasting cigars that are not too expensive. The My Father Le Amor de Cuba and Le Amor de Antilles brands are perfect for me. Not too expensive, and both with ratings of > 95 for the toro by Cigar Aficionado.

Arturo Fuentes Opus "X" was my favorite. I've not had any cigar in something like 8 months. I may now.

Years ago, myself and friends were smoking on my deck, and one wag left his cigar butt in the ash tray of my charcoal Weber grill, rather well buried in the ash that collected there. The next day, I proceeded to cook chicken for my wife and 5 kids, not realizing what was buried in the ash. Apparently a burning cinder managed to fall from the grille into the tray and rekindle the stale cigar butt just enough to smoke ever so slightly. That smoke managed to be sucked up through the air holes in the bottom of the grill, through the burning charcoal briquettes and further "smoke" the chicken in a flavor much less likeable than, say, hickory. The chicken was inedible, and I was NOT the hero that day.

And here I thought you're about to say you've discovered a new grilling technique and flavor...

Recommended sticks out of many recent experiences.

Illusione: Epernay or Fume D’Amor

Warped: Apollo or La Colmena

Aladino: Corojo Reserva

All excellent, all medium strength.

Count me in: cigars, and wine. Especially on an island somewhere where there's no computer in sight.

I have some of the rarest cigars you can get. Aged Cubans. Don’t even smoke anymore. Had them online to sell or trade for a watch but I just get cigar snobs trying to impress me. I have a pic of a few but I have a humidor full. I still do enjoy that toasty taste of an aged cohiba. You will see a few where the wrappers got torn. That was from rotating them. I smoked them with a few friends they were fine after we got through that shade wrap problem.

Yeeeeessss!
The Epicure #2 is one of my fav’s. Anything from
The Hoyo brand (particularly Punch), just nail it for me on every level. I have gone through the Fuente line, the Partagas (have abox if SerD#4 in the humidor), Upman, and all the new fangled brands- some very good, but the classics are classics for a reason.

Oh, and I haven’t found one R&J that smokes well- all have issues, don’t know what the allure with that company is.

First cigar in several weeks. Du Prince on a nice day for February!
Excuse me! With your handle and you’re smoking a Hoyo (which is my favorite BTW)! What’s next, showing a Rolex bracelet on Omega Forum?!?!😉

At least for me, there's nothing like a Montecristo A!

I enjoy a good Maduro, Fuente and Camachos being my two favorites. Though it can both be expensive and you have to have plenty of time to smoke it, so now I smoke a pipe more often than not.

Most of us on the forum like the finer things in life. We obviously love our watches, cars, and liquor. However, do we have our share of cigar aficionados? If so what are your go to brand(s)? I'll start out: A. Fuentes Hemingway line esp their "Short Story".
‍♂️ Yes I enjoy a cigar

Saw this thread and thought, yes kindred spirits (would be lovely if there was a thread on pipes).
I use 2 Lieberr humidors and am expecting a 3rd soon to accommodate the homeless ones - using Boveda 65% till then. Pipe smoking has taken over somewhat because of time constrain. The Davidoffs are Cubans from the 70s. About half a box left.

Run the humidors at 17 deg C and 68% humidity as I prefer cigars on the drier side. Better burn/taste I find. That's a wonky temp meter on the last pic 😀.

My wife would not have been pleased either lol.
The Opus is the ONLY non-Cuban I'd put up against almost any Cuban.
