I was sitting home one night a couple weeks ago and came across a Tag Heur aquracer 300m. I hadn’t bought a watch and a while and this one was a two mile ride. Didn’t pay too much, it was 375 but it’s a quartz with an eta but nothing special. It is my only Swiss diver and the only lume I have except some Vostoks which have very little lume. So it’s not horrible but someone here is selling a very nice vintage Movado for 475. I think I could have made a better choice, this was an impulse buy. Good lesson to learn. Even if you think you're getting a decent deal, it's not worth buying a watch unless you're really in love with it. It's a lot of work to sell it, and you're not likely to make much of a profit after fees and shipping.

    Ohhhhh YES !

I bought a lot of watches last year, some has been sold, some are still waiting to get sold on the bay, but less time at the moment.

My collection (My taste) has changed and now i have a plan …. Omega Mark II is the next one.

Only one so far, I made an eBay offer from an intercontinental flight after several glasses of wine. Pictures looked great, needed a crystal and service. I landed and found I’d won.

It arrived and I was surprised just how small it is. I love the look of it, but can’t see myself ever wearing it.

(Btw: some positive feedback on this thread... original post was short, to the point and included a picture!... nicely done!).

Don’t get used to it. My next one will be one word and one picture then I’ll go back to books. I’ll cycle through that way. Keep you on your toes. Plus I’ve carved out a name for myself already

Nice. Good to see you can handle some push back and bounce right back. It’s important to have a thick skin around here.

OK if under $500 as you can usually flip without hassle. Much different experience having BR at $5k plus.

See it as a cool watch that you can wear anywhere.
Every collection needs a quartz beater for setting time on their automatic watches

Feelings :cautious: now they need to be on EBay straight away.....

Very true. It’s not like I hate the watch. It is good to wear at work where it can be dusty and grimy. I do like the dial and I actually did get a couple complements. It’s just reminding me it’s not really the way I want to head in collecting, but all good things in all good time

Military and boxing forums make this place a cakewalk although watch collectors are a tough crowd.

I had buyers remorse once so far when it comes to watches. I don’t gamble because I never win. I never win any raffles large or small. I for some reason just never win items. But before I found this forum, I decided I wanted to try to win a grail watch by spinning the wheel on watch gang. I didn’t pay much attention to the lower tier watches you have to select. I was confident for some reason that I will get a higher tiered watch. I buy points, spin the wheel, and win a low tier Croton. Vintage would be cool, but this looked like just some run of the mill you’d find at kohl’s or something. It’s huge and I will never wear it. I regret that one.

The ones in black text are buyer's remorse. The ones in red text are seller's remorse. And you can see some watches are listed twice. I didn't learn the first time.
