Have you looked at the First Omega in Space (FOIS)? There was another gentleman in here who went that direction due to it being slightly smaller than the Moonwatch and better on his slim wrists. As for the price on it, I can't comment. I'm a Speedmaster voyeur only.
But it's not really smaller, the difference in the stated case size measurement is just the lack of the crown and pusher protectors, the dial and bezel are exactly the same size as the Pro so they actually wear pretty similar. I would personally love a FOIS or better still an Ed White but I wouldn't expect it to feel smaller on the wrist than the Pro.

Well, you may know better, I'm only reporting what I've learned. It seems that the lack of those guards give some people a less substantial presence on their wrists.

I had a reduced - used to hate the way the rotor felt as it whizzed audibly around .... sold it with zero regrets. The Pro looks fine on a small wrist, and is in another class ... take the plunge and don't look back.

Go with the Pro. 6.25in slim wrist here. Looks fine on my small wrist in my opinion

They are very popular, at my store I've sold almost 100 this year, and still a quarter left.

In my experience, the only people who regretted buying were the ones who really actually wanted a Moonwatch.

Its like that guy who bought a Cayman and regretted it. Nothing wrong about the car, but he really wanted a 911 but didn't want to spring for the extra $$$.

Totally agreed.

I was looking for a speedmaster pro, but then I thought that a reduced would have fit better my wrist. The price was tempinting, but then I did the same reasoning: I'm just attracted because I would feel more comfortable to spend 1500 bucks instead of 3000 or more and have this surrogate.

I stopped immediately and did not buy it.

Now I even see that is expensive to service...and I'm really glad I did not save some money in the short run to have something that would have costed me much more to maintain.
And still... Is not THE moonwatch.

Cheers!
