Watch x2, bracelet x2, great. One experience with a slightly cagey seller that didn't end up going ahead. I like the escrow concept, which seemed to work well each time.

I haven’t purchased on C24, but I have sold. I was impressed with the process. I found it to be very straightforward, efficient and far less expensive for seller’s fees than eBay.

I've sold many and bought a couple. Never had any problems. But always be careful out there.

Buy and sell; very lean and safe. Had an issue with a pro one time, watch badly described, ch24 took the claim in charge, and refunded quickly. So, for now, only ++ experience.

Bought 3-5 watches there. Very satisfied when you use trusted checkout. Would not do it w/o.

I bought my Chronostop from a seller on Chrono 24. You will hear mixed reviews about it being over priced/items not as described etc. However...

I did my research, knew what I was looking at, and contacted the seller directly on the phone number listed. He was a watch maker from the south coast, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I struck a deal out of Chrono24 for a price that suited us both. Read the reviews on the seller and research before you commit.

I have since had another watch serviced by him, and have had a very good experience.

Used twice. No problem. Escrow added a level of security which I appreciated.

Wouldn't the experience differ dependant on whether the watch is from a private seller or a trusted seller and if it's the latter whether he has the watch in hand or needs to source it after you hit the buy button?

My chrono24 experience was with a trusted seller I asked about direct availability and he needed to check with his AD first. Purchase was done after confirmation and was satisfactory through the escrow service.

Of the three I bought, one was a UK private seller. He was selling one of his own watches. A second was an Eastern Europe dealer and the third, a Japanese pawn broker. All smooth transactions.

I was a little concerned with the third because the same watch was advertised by two sellers as a BIN on eBay at twice the Chrono24 price. I worked out that middlemen were offering it on the basis that they would buy it from the Chrono24 source if they got BIN purchaser.

Anyway, I liaised directly with the Chrono24 seller using the Chrono24 communications link and sealed the deal.

I had a purchase from a private seller. International, I'll add. Despite some minor translation issues during communication, the whole deal was super smooth. As others have mentioned: C24 held my payment in escrow until I had a chance to examine the watch. I’d feel totally comfortable with a private seller after that experience.

Bought a couple and thinking of listing a piece too. The escrow is a plus. Slightly different experience if you're buying off a private seller than a professional dealer (dealers tend to have 'suggest a price' turned off). I also had a sale cancelled because the seller thought the postage cost was too expensive compared to the watch price.

Used it once and great experience. Used the escrow and bought from a reputable firm so all good. You should still check the seller out if you can however.
