Dear members, we are from different countries and speak different languages. Is there anybody among us, who speaks Arabic and can aid me with translating a form? Background is, I am trying to help a student to avoid expensive translation fees. We just need some information handwritten on the form that was provided to him. Thank you very much in advance! Edited according to the comments below.
Arab is the people, Arabic is the language. You probably mean Modern Standard Arabic which is the official language of most of the Arab world.
so yes, I meant Arabic. (Side note: I checked my dictionary first and found Arab, Arabian, Arabic) It's an official document, so most probably yes.
If you can't find someone who reads Arabic script you'll first need a transliteration device then a translation device. Arabic words aren't directly translatable into English or other European languages, and are often subject to several alternative spellings. If you can cut and paste the Arabic text this device may be of help. http://mylanguages.org/arabic_roman...t sounds when pronounced according to English.
Thanks. Unfortunately, it is a handwritten form provided on a photo... so I am not able to identify the letters.
