Dear all,

I am looking for somebody who lives in Japan who could assist me.
We EU members are no longer allowed/able to access yahoo.co.jp due to legal regulations.
Would need some help.

Just use a sales agent, like buyee, zenmarket, fromjapan etc.

I've been using buyee for about two years now, was always happy with their service.

Agreed but then you can't buy. I used Jauce and that worked well. Only thing is you have to fund them before you bid

I had thought that the auctions had gotten a little bit less frantic of late, thought i put it down to the weakened yen and general inflation. When did things change and the EU get blocked from yahoo?

As a result of concerns over data protection in Europe and the further tightening of regulations on foreign platforms, it seems that it has become difficult to ensure compliance with European laws and regulations from a cost perspective, and as a result, the service has been discontinued.

That’s too bad, not only for EU/UK buyers but for Japanese sellers as well. Euros and pound Sterling go a long way here with the weak yen. Selling on eBay as a resident of Japan is surprisingly burdensome even before they start extracting their fees. The enshittification of the Internet continues apace.
