    I would be curious to know what this sold for. I haven't seen one of these on the market in a while and wonder if the seller got anywhere close to the asking price. I remember back in the day when I was not so interested in Speedmasters seeing one go for $3400 thinking it was sky-high.

    He offered it to me at 5800 euros but that was still too high given the conversion, shipping and possible customs

    Sold mine last year for 5.900 euro (inside Europe). All original w/1450 bracelet and in good condition with a Bienne overhaul. No box/papers. Even if I miss it, that was my best sale ever:)

    Thanks. I made an offer of what I could afford without selling a watch, hoping to get a counteroffer to judge what the market might be. My offer was too low to merit a counteroffer I guess. There were some potential red flags too, like the lack of feedback or movement pics. A US seller with higher feedback and better photos might have actually gotten that asking price, or very close.
