Anybody familiar with some of these newer citizens?

Not like I’m thinking of getting one but I ran into someone wearing an obviously high end citizen. Just had a brief conversation with him but it had a red textured dial and got me checking out what citizen is doing. I know they make quality accurate timepieces I just never paid them much attention. I’m not much of a watch blog person but found this interesting. Has anyone ventured into this citizen territory they look very interesting.

I don’t follow citizen as a brand but I don’t think any watch lover can deny their place in horological history or the quality of their movements at the price point (Miyota). Plus they own Bulova now and the Oceanographer reissue was an impressive effort- they really nailed the details.
