Any Value in a modified speedmaster redial?

I'm looking at a 3573.50 sapphire sandwich modified with the limited edition Italian white dial and matching grey hands. These are omega sourced parts and the watch runs well.
The original parts, and both red cards/box come with it as well.
I really want this Italian model but the price is out of my range.
Price is above what the 3573.50 is going for due to the mod and rather expensive parts.
I really want a white speedy and then only options are the Italian, snoopy a reduced or the Japanese one. Ticks all of my boxes.
I'm usually a purist in these subjects...
I know purchases are subjective to tastes but I'm looking for advice about modified speed masters.
In the readers opinion, should this cost more because if the mod or less because if it?

I've made a few modded seikos but never even considered an omega that was modified...
Any insight or opinions are appreciated.

Some people are fine with mods, others shun them and only want factory original watches. It's up to you, if are ok with the watch in question there is nothing wrong with them. In your case how much higher is the modded watch compared to an unmodded one? If it's the cost of the dial and hands, and maybe some cost for someone to do the swap, it's not overpriced as you can always put it back to normal.

It’s worth more then stock.

the parts where on the market for these for awhile. Parts seem to have dried up.

the Italian Albino is one of my favorite variants.

I would say it is worth the stock value, + the cost of mod parts (not unsignificant!), - the cost of reinstalling the OG parts. So it is likely worth more than stock if you like the end result.

It is a mass produced watch, so no problem to me for installing another omega dial on it.

Last time I checked the parts were around $1200 but these are now not readily available.

Pretty sure that if Ebayed at the right time the dial and handset would get more.

Congrats- it’s lovely. I replaced the silver ‘dial on my ‘00 Airking with a period correct factory tritium black dial and hand set (this was during the transition)- and love it. If I ever sell it, both dials and hand sets will go with it- for the value of the watch, plus the dial and hands- no more.

I see nothing wrong with this since you have the original parts.

That looks great! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about mods but I picked up a Seamaster pro with a PO bezel and hands 2 years ago and I just love it. I have the original parts to put it back to stock at some point down the road, when I do it’ll be like having a whole new watch. And as others have said, I can sell the parts after to help cover for the cost of the swap/service.

ive seen a couple of these done up like this.
either with the dial on a smp or just the bezel and crystal.
i thought about doing it with mine back in the day but in the end, bought the PO and kept the 300 besides.

This was when it first arrived at my house about 2 years ago now. I rarely have it on the bracelet now.

I always thought that was a cool look
The bezels on the 300 always were hard to grip.

Great strap choice too! How do you like that dial in the flesh? Did the color surprise you? It often looks more white in photos, but is more of a cream color in reality. A great looking watch! Congrats!

Well, it shipped fast.
I love it.

That looks ~really~ nice! Nice build/mod watch.
You planning on leaving the strap as is, or swapping that out?

Looks amazing! I also have one if the italian dials and handsets here, waiting for a watch to put it in 😀

I am like you, would prefer the OG, but prices have gone mad so I am out of that market. As long as one doesn’t make the watch out to be something it is not, I think the mods are fine though.

Enjoy your beautiful new piece!

Thanks! I had this strap on my PO for a while. It's my absolute favorite. I'm looking for another as this one is starting to show a lot of wear.
I knew it was off white but was pleasantly surprised by the hue. Deeper cream than I thought it was gonna be.
I get bored of many pieces but this one I'm keeping. At least until I could easily afford an oem albino.
Cheers.

This one is a bit newer of a donor but it's pretty correct. Same case and caseback. (without the LE inscription of course)
