Anyone have experience with watches83 as a seller? I'm tempted by a couple of pieces they have, and no reason to doubt their reputation or competence, but can't find a lot of endorsements or reviews online. Thanks!
Further to the question from @TDBK has anyone had any dealings with Watches83 in Spain? Positive or negative experiences? Not much in the way of feedback or reviews online. They have some potentially interesting watches, particularly 60s-70s skin divers. Thanks in advance.
@TDBK I also saw some interesting watches of the period you just mentioned but I have no previous experience buying from watches83... Did you end up buying from them?
@TDBK @kaapstadflaneur Looks like it is a legit online seller. I just found this from watchgeckco.com. https://www.watchgecko.com/blogs/magazine/exploring-the-vintage-watch-world-the-weird-and-wonderful
I bought an old Cyma from them. Smooth transaction, no complaints. Prices are quite high, but not completely insane like at Hodinkee etc.
@Timetron -- I never ended up buying anything from Watches83, but I still peruse the site semi-regularly as they have interesting stock. Prices are on the high side.
Many of their watches are on Chrono24 as well so there would be protection if bought there. https://www.chrono24.com/search/index.htm?customerId=18057&dosearch=true&showpage=4
