It’s hard to try on rare and vintage watches so sometimes I’ve bought sight unseen only to realize it doesn’t work on my wrist.
I’ve also had watches that I really liked and then something will turn me off. For instance I had a watch serviced and the watchmaker knocked out the tritium pip on the bezel (and lost it). Although it’s usually not considered a deal breaker on a watch it just made me angry every time I wore it and I ended up having to sell it.
At least Google and Amazon a little later, just to name a few.
