Orient Star made some really nice Rolex like watches around 2002-2008. They are pretty simple mechanically but the finishing is good and the bracelets excellent. They can often be had for less than £150 on japanese auction sites. What do you guys think of them?

Movements are tried and tested and made in house. Similar to Seiko workhorse movements in the way they are put together. Good everyday wearers.

I have two, the Orient Star Clasic and an Orient "Kamaso" dive watch but
I recently gifted the five watch to my son and he's loving it!

Orient Star, sub brand of Orient, havent seen any of them but I do have some Orient King Divers.

I have exactly the same Orient Star, this is my daily beater

Hang onto those King Divers, people are going to come around to them soon IMO. 👍

Another one of my Orients. I'm not precious about these and that is part of the joy of owning them.

Change the bracelet to leather strap, feels more comfortable for my small wrist

That's nice. I must say though that I find the Orient bracelets fantastic and have actually bought just bracelets to put on other watches. Out of curiosity is that the 34mm or the 37mm?
They are the same except for the size.

I didn't know they made 2 different size, but my watch is 34mm
