Kindly advise, whether Omega have ever produced any of their watches in platinum, current and vintage models?

    Thank-you.

    Thanks for your response.

Among all the watches you have shown, I reckon this is the most attractive one. Should one appear on the market for sale, what would the approximate price be you think, relative to a yellow gold example?

By the way, is there any vintage Constellation or Seamaster, produced in platinum?

    Thank-you.

Ah this is another one of those questions you'll have to either ask Dennis, or throw up the bat-signal for Desmond again.

Thanks for all the illustrations of Omega watches, produced in platinum.

I just cannot understand something. Why did Omega produce a quartz watch in a platinum-case?

    Thank-you.

The closest Omega came to platinum in the vintage Seamasters was the 18ct white gold model 14.325 with hooded lugs.

The Constellation Pie Pan with arrowhead markers, reference 2852 caliber 505 from 1959, did come in a platinum (PA 2859) version.

    Thanks for your information.

Is there any chance you are able to favour us with some pictures for each of them?

    Thank-you.

    Ask and ye shall receive!

Here's the Seamaster from pagge 285 of A Journey Through Time:

Here's the Constellation from page 365 of A Journey Through Time (which is credited in the caption to Omega Saga):

    Thanks for the two illustrations.

Apparently during the good old days (pre-1983), Omega did not produce white gold and platinum watches for their Seamaster and Constellation models with the exception of the two, you bring to our attention. Why is this so?

    Thank-you.

Probably was a bit of a hard sell, buying a white gold or platinum watch over a steel.
