Thats a great bike! More pics? :)

I am not a betting man, but MotoGP could have a season to remember. Lorenzo with Duc, Maverik is riding like a bat out of hell through all practices, can never count out Doctor, and of course there is Marquez. So many different story lines, cant wait for Sunday and Qatar.

I used to watch TT on Speed Channel when I had it. Other than F1 that was my favorite motorsport.

I love motorcycle racing. Just not the kind that show up on TV...

We compete. Very "serious". Yes we are...

Classic old 50ies to 70ies mopeds. Illegal racing - everything from dragrace (between lights), top speed shootouts (flying kilometer), moped pulling (like tractor...) to cannonball run (up to 200 km). More fun than I ever had with "grown" motorsports.

My weapon of choice - a totally rebuilt 1957 Crescent (Swedish moped). Rules apply - has to be a moped and a moped engine. Not necessarily from the same maker - but vintage. Bore and stroke up to 90cc.

Mine is 50cc and I built it for endurance and plain fun.

Here are some combatants (no fairing, early 70ies Gilera Touring,164 km/h) at 2 minutes:

Lousy quality film but it is a friend of mines bike - a 50ies scooter Monark (Swedish) doing 9,6 on 201m

    Moped pulling

    Oh yes it is fun...

    And very serious...

That looks like a blast. Great looking moped as well. Here locally MiniGP racing is taking off. A lot of people that raced big bikes have now joined in the fun. They race on go-cart track, 125cc bikes mostly. Lots of fun, and really cheap. Set of tires last you whole season and not one race weekend like 600cc SS bikes would.

I will be there myself along with my racing obsessed wife as part of a two week ride in Scotland and Ireland. FB_IMG_1454733613916.jpg FB_IMG_1454733228628.jpg IMAG0127.jpg

I watch SX/MX, WSBK, GP, F1.....Probably see 10+ races a year live and generally think about racing whenever I am not actually riding.

    That is awesome @West Slope!

Unfortunately there isnt any real racing close to me here, so it is just TV. It really sucks, as this year I had to make a decision between UGP or MotoGP in Austria. Both are happening on same week :S

Hopefully I get a chance to go to one MotoGP race next year.

I try to combine rides with races whenever possible. Have done WSBK at Phillip Island, MotoGP at Misano and managed to hit all three US GP rounds a few years ago as I knew that wasn't going to happened again.

    Where are you located?

West coast of Canada. Vancouver BC. Closest real racing would be SBK at Laguna.

Don't forget the SX race in Seattle in a few weeks. Laguna would be a great ride down, even with highway 1 not open for the foreseeable future.

After FP1 in Qatar, nothing changed since testing. Maverick is still in #1 spot. Everyone was raving about MM when he came in, I think Vinales can be even better. We shall see how Mav reacts when he is in the actual race against all the big boys though. Will be great race-day #1
