This is a watch I keep coming back to...

In good, used condition these can be had at a good price and I'm very tempted.

I like the look of the chronograph too but at 45mm it's probably a tad big for me. The day/date above comes in at a more comfortable 42mm which is an ideal size for me.

Any owners out there who can share their thoughts? I'm not usually a fan of day/date watches but I could live with this.

    Cheers.

If that was 37 - 39 mm I'd have a problem..... 'cept for that ugly NATO thing.

Not a huge fan of that NATO either but I'd image it would look good on the right strap...brown leather maybe or a dark navy.

I think the older version is pretty cool although a little less colorful!

    Chrono looks good on mesh

Diameter is 45mm but lug length is also 45mm so not too huge imho . . .

My original.is big too. Around 43mm, and wears even bigger because of the crown on the opposite side of the chronograph buttons

I reacquired a gray dial PE after selling mine a year or so ago. It is one of the best looking and comfortable watch I own. The movement with 80 hr power reserve is amazing - that's Blancpain territory there. Great value for the price. [IMG]

I had the one in the OP and an early 70s PE. Huge size difference between the two.
