I'm considering a purchase. Can anyone tell me more information about this model? The Guy says he's owned it for 20 years and it was last serviced about ten years ago. Says he thinks it's gold filled. Wanting to make sure it's not a frankenwatch or has any major flaws I'm not picking up on. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Dial and hands look fine. Case looks bad, some rust thru spots near lugs
Don't buy.

Those lugs look rough. Otherwise the case is in 'vintage' quality. I'm not convinced about the rust the above poster sees (it could be a shadow?), but the bottom lugs in that photo look like they were bent outward and poorly bent back during some sort of strap change. You can see a slight bend to the top right one.

As far as dial/hands/caseback/etc, I don't see anything suspicious.

Without popping off the case back, we can't really tell which model/movement it is unless someone recognizes it/can intuit the size (as the model is printed inside the caseback).

IMO, an attractive dial/hands, and probably runs nicely, but the case problems make me think it is only worth it at a really good price.

Without popping off the case back,
This model doesn't have a case back.

Well technically, it HAS a caseback, just not a removable one 😀

So more of a "without popping the movement out of the case..."

Would 500 be considered a good price?
If that is rust coming out of the case, absolutely not.

What size is the case? You can get some of the smaller sizes (~33mm) on ebay for less than that in better shape. Not knowing the model/etc also makes it tough.

Also, the shape of those lugs is ALSO going to make me not want to pay nearly that much.
