    Hi ,
I'm new on here and would like to get some advice on selling my dad's watch.

If you can't safely open it yourself, take it to a watchmaker and photograph the movement and the inside of the case back, make sure the photos large, clear and focused. Watch listings with movement photos do better.

FYI, it's not likely to bring more than a $100-150, unless it's solid gold (only a few hundred more even if it is), so why not keep it a a memento of your father?
