On the back of the watch engraving Quartz 1430
I own this watch, I received it as a gift from a dear friend that passed away, i am not planning to sell it but I would like to know more about it.

It keeps time.

it’s from the 80’s most likely.

worth scrap value…

open the case and the movement will have a serial number using google you can find the age.

the model number will be on the inside of the caseback.

Absolutely, I am glad you have a keepsake from your dear friend. Sometimes folks here are so focused on collecting and monetary value they forget about sentimental value.
