Perhaps it is not actually the original box.

 

I'm not an expert and I'm sure one will chime in, but looks like a 145.022. The box is curious. Intrested to hear about this. Maybe a Franken-box?

 

Several Speedmaster Quartz models over the years

 

It’s a 145.022 from 77 to mid 80’s.

My guess is a box and box insert mismatch.
